Nghe An Detects 230kg Bomb
The Bomb and Mine Clearance Centre under the Ministry of National Defence has discovered an unexploded bomb weighing 230kg in Nghe An. Major Vo Van Ba, the centre’s director, said the bomb was dropped by US air forces during the Vietnam war. The bomb was found two metres underground in Roc Bop field, Nghi Xuan village, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. It was defused and brought to the surface safely. Earlier, on October 8, the Bomb and Mine Clearance Centre discovered another unexploded bomb in Nghi Thach village, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. It was three metres long and weighed 700kg.
