More Than VND12 billion to Support AO Victims

The Hanoi Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims has raised more than VND12 billion to support AO victims over the past seven years, said Nguyen Sy Thuy, Chairman of the Association at a review held on June 28th. The funds, donated by more than 300 domestic and foreign businesses and individuals, have been used to construct and repair accommodations for, present gifts and provide free healthcare to AO victims. Over the past years, the Association has launched many programs, especially documentaries, which made a strong impact on the community. Through the programs, overseas Vietnamese and foreign friends have opportunities to learn more about consequences of dioxin and give their support to AO victims. On this occasion, 8 individuals and 10 groups were presented with Certificates of Merit for their achievements in these programs. (qdnd.vn Jun 30)
