More Funding for Vietnamese AO Victims
Vietnamese ambassador to Finland, Doan Ngoc Boi handed EUR2,000 donated by the Vietnamese community in Finland to the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin (VAVA) in Hanoi on November 10. The money was delivered to the Vietnamese ambassador to Finland, Doan Ngoc Boi. U.S. embassy Environment, Science, Technology and Health Officer Eric Frater also met with VAVA earlier on November 9. At the meeting, the two sides agreed on some issues related to helping Vietnamese AO/dioxin victims and, in the short term, the U.S. government will increase its budget for AO victim healthcare programs and detoxifying Danang airport to $3 million.
