More Books for Needy Children in Hanoi
A young volunteer organization, Friend’s Arms, and the Youth Box Communication Channel on August 6th launched a project of book reading festival for needy children in the Tien Phong Primary school in Tien Phong Commune, Ba Vi District, Hanoi. With slogan “Books build up dreams for children”, the project will set up self-management bookshelves in classrooms for more than 8,000 students over 16 primary and secondary schools in the eight poorest communes of Ba Vi District by the end of next year. Nguyen Thi Sinh, the project coordinator, said that the project would create an opportunity for poor students to access different kinds of books as well as encourage reading interests so that they could develop physically and spiritually.
