Military Doctors Care for Ethnic Minority People’s Health
Nurses and doctors from Hospital 110 of Logistics Department of Military Zone 1 recently gave free health- check-ups to people of Nung, Mong and Dao ethnic minority groups in Can Nong, one of the poorest border communes of Cao Bang Province.They also provided health counseling to local people so that they could protect themselves from some common diseases, and offered them medicines. Notably, the hospital’s staff presented gifts to 100 policy beneficiaries and needy families, provided medical equipment, medicines, and installed a fresh water system and planted medical herbs in the communal clinic. Furthermore, the hospital built a VND 400 million stage for the commune. Those activities were part of the program “The army helps build new rural areas”.Apart from above-mentioned activities, the hospital’s staff and local youths entertained people with songs and dances in praise of the Party, Uncle Ho and the close sentiment of troops and people during an artistic evening.
