- Vietnam Brewery Limited (VBL) will provide scholarships and grants worth VND4.7 billion ($225,000) over the next five years to talented students and small scale scientific research projects in water science. Each year, 20 students with excellent track records from central of southern Viet Nam will receive VND15 million each while five small-run scientific research projects will get VND120 million each. HCM City offers similar support to 100 young scientists with VND80 million each every year, said Phan Minh Tan, director of the city's Science and Technology Department. (Vietnam News June 6)
- ACG International School today announced its corporate scholarship program that will allow companies’ key employees to access high quality international education for their children at a fraction of the cost. Under the program, companies can apply for 5-50 per cent remission on annual tuition fees for the schooling of their staff’s children. The program can help companies save between $7,000 and $8,900 per year on employee’s children primary and secondary school tuition fees, respectively. Companies can apply by completing a scholarship application for minimum of two members of staff. Employees' children must undertake and pass the entrance test in order to qualify for the scholarship.
