Large Bomb Found in Phu Tho Province

Construction workers found a 350kg bomb underground at Ward 14B, Phu An Street, Phong Chau Town, Phu Tho town, Phu Tho Province, while preparing a foundation for the house of Ms. Do Thi Le Huyen.The bomb, as Phu Tho Provincial Military Headquarters expected, was dropped by the U.S. Air Force in an attempt to destroy Phu Tho Railway Station during the Vietnam War.The provincial military headquarters directed the headquarters of Phu Tho town to guard the area, ensuring the safety of local people, and at the same time, instructed its sappers to work with the town’s military organs and the ward’s militia to deactivate the bomb as soon as possible.
