The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will fund Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien-Hue $13 million to develop the Hue smart culture and tourism city project, local media said.

The provincial People’s Committee held a meeting on August 23 to appraise the design of the project, which will have $1.8 million from the local budget.

The projects will cover building a smart tourism system and conducting its trial run, installing smart lighting and surveillance systems along the banks of Huong river, and building public administration capacity in tourism development and urban management.
