KOICA Funds Learning, Teaching Equipment to Vietnam College
The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) handed over learning and teaching equipments to Vietnam’s Hanoi Industrial Vocational College in an effort to help it improve the training quality.
These equipments will be for the establishment of a lab with digital equipments, which is proposed by volunteer Byun Ji Sung and funded by KOICA. Equipments are installed at one digital lab enabling 16 users at the same time, and a technical drawing teaching room with 20 drawing tables and drawing tools. The project costs $18,000, of which $16,000 from KOICA and the remaining is counterpart fund. This is the 4th assistance of KOICA to the college amid the strong development of digital technology though it can not fully meet the college’s current demand. On this occasion, volunteer Kim Joung Kwan, on behalf of KOICA, offered more than 400 books, 100 CDs and VCDs on Korea culture, country and people which will be used at the College’s Vietnam – Korea Culture Center. Hanoi Industrial Vocational College was set up in 1974, currently training about 2,500 students each year. Supported by the government of South Korea since 1994 via KOICA’s training courses and equipment provision, the college’s training capacity and facilities have been continuously improved.
