Japan Shares with Vietnam Experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment

A number of Japanese companies have joined a conference on industrial wastewater treatment in Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Nai to share experience in the field on Oct 15. At the meeting held by the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry and provincial authorities, Japanese firms highlighted the wastewater treatment in plating industry and husbandry sector. Some environment enterprises from Japan introduced advanced technologies in wastewater and solid waste treatment and added that they were willingly to cooperate with local firms in technological transferring. Dong Nai will establish a “Kansai Desk” dedicated to addressing any investment issues and queries from Japanese firms, especially Kansai regional businesses. Early this year, Dong Nai and the Kansai region signed an agreement on economic cooperation, strengthening exchanges and investment in support industries, pollution treatment, energy efficiency and human resources development.
