Israel Firm Eyes $37M Clean Water Supply Project in South Vietnam

Israel’s Global Environmental Solutions (GES) is showing its interest in a clean water supply project in Vietnam’s southern province of Binh Phuoc with a total investment of $37 million in the 2011-2016 period. The information was released at a meeting between GES and the provincial authorities on Oct 11 to discuss the project’s investment, the province said on its website. Under the project, a tap water supply system equipped with Israeli technology will be built with a daily capacity of 60,000cu.m of water. It will benefit local residents in Chon Thanh district and surrounding areas. The project is expected to considerably hike the rate of people in the district using fresh water from the current only 20.9%, a local official said.
