India, UK, NZ Grants $12M Aid to Support Vietnam’s Post-Typhoon Recovery
India, the UK, and New Zealand have announced an aid package totaling nearly $12 million to assist Vietnam in addressing the severe impacts of Typhoon Yagi, focusing on emergency relief and long-term recovery, state media reported.
The sum includes $10 million from India, GBP1 million ($1.3 million) from the UK, and ZND1 million ($618,000) from New Zealand.
The aid will be provided to those affected in emergency supplies, cash assistance, and vital services such as healthcare, clean water, and sanitation. Additionally, India has been sending ten tons of aid packages to Vietnam.
