India Pledges to Help Vietnam Train Managers
India has committed to working closely with Vietnamese agencies in carrying out the government project on training officials and managers abroad under state budget funds, or Project 165. The commitment was made at working sessions between Indian agencies and a delegation of the Project 165 steering board led by Nguyen Van Quynh, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission during its recent visit to India. During the three-day visit, the Vietnamese delegation worked with the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Indian Cultural Council. They said the two countries have favorable conditions for cooperation in education and in personnel training under the Project 165. The mission made a tour of the Indian Institute of Public Administration and the Institute of Technology Delhi – India’s leading training establishments for public administration and technology. The Indian Institute of Public Administration agreed to provide training for two missions of Vietnamese key officials, to study until the end of the year. Each mission will comprise 20-30 members. The Institute of Technology Delhi pledged to train Vietnamese officials in IT under short-term courses and Master and PhD courses in the future.
