IFC Willing to Support Infrastructure Development in Vietnam City
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is willing to support infrastructure development in Vietnam’s central city of Danang, Program Manager for Advisory Services for public–private partnership (PPPs) in East Asia and the Pacific, Edgar Saravia said. Mr Edgar made the statement at a recent meeting with Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee Phung Tan Viet. At the meeting, the host and guest talked about IFC’s support for the city’s PPP infrastructure development projects. They also discussed some of the local PPP pilot projects including public bus and domestic waste water treatment systems.Mr. Viet thanked the IFC for its support of the city’s significant PPP infrastructure projects. He asked the IFC to continue helping the city implement its very necessary large-scale projects including the metro system, the Lien Chieu port, and burying electricity and communication cables.The IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is the largest global development institution.
