Houses Gifted To Ethnic Minority People In Kon Tum
Ten new houses, ten breeding cow and ten gifts have been presented to households in six ethnic minority villages in the border commune of Dac Nhoong, Dac Glay district, Kon Tum Central Highland province. The General Staff and the Border Gate Department of the Kon Tum Border Guard Command, in co-ordination with the provincial Fatherland Front, held a ceremony on December 10 to hand over the houses and present the gifts to Dac Nhoong villagers. The 38 sq.m to 60 sq.m houses were each supported with VND 20 million from the General Staff the Border Guard Command along with contributions from families, the community and the efforts of officers and soldiers from the 669 Border Post in Dac Nhoong commune. The construction of a 100m inner-village road for Dac Ga village was also inaugurated on this occasion. Dac Ga was selected by the provincial Border Guard Command as a pilot locality for the project to help people with economic, cultural, and social development and strengthen national security.
