Hoa Binh Province Allocates VND4.5B to Social Building Fund

In 2012, the northern province of Hoa Binh will strive to build and repair 120 houses for beneficiaries’ families with total capital of VND 4.5 billion. In addition, the province also aims to lift the living standard of 97% of beneficiaries’ families to at least the average living standard of the population, and mobilize VND 5 billion to the fund of gratitude. Over the past years, Hoa Binh province has actively supported the gratitude movement with diverse activities, contributing to stabilizing socio-economic development and maintaining defence and security. Since 2007, Hoa Binh province has spent VND 494 billion in preferential payments for beneficiaries, VND 1.34 billion on building 242 and repairing 516 houses of gratitude, mobilized VND 14 billion in donations to the gratitude fund, and presented 1,279 savings books worth VND 534 million for beneficiaries.
