Hanoi Helps Poor Northern Provinces

On Feb. 15 the Hanoi People’s Committee allocated VND6 billion ($286,000) for poverty reduction in the northern provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Giang. The funds were raised by contributions from the business community. The donation is to help the provinces deal with the widespread extensive `damage caused by severe weather conditions.
