The seven outlets are offering farm produce from four providers named BigGreen Vietnam, Thuy Thien Nhu JSC, T&T Food JSC and Construction and Import-export JSC. The city consumes 1,000 tons of meat, 600 tons of fish and 3,200 tons of vegetables and fruits a day. The city’s agricultural production meets only 58% of the meat demand, 70% of the aquatic demand, 90% demand of eggs and 65% of fresh vegetables. The city has sought to build close chains for farm produce to raise supply of safe food for local residents, said Tran Thi Phuong Lan, head of the Department of Industry and Trade. (cafebiz.vn May 16)
