Global Community Service, Boeing Opens $31,000 School in Vietnam
The Global Community Service (GCSF) and the U.S.-based Boeing Corporation have put into operation a $31,000 school in Ta Long commune in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Tri in an effort to provide better learning environment for local students. Early 2010, the GCSF and Boeing also funded a school construction in A Vao commune in the province, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te newspaper reported Dec 14. Over the past four years, Boeing helped build 16 schools for local students in 12 cities and provinces of Vietnam, it added. Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined.
