Germany Pledges Further Support for Vietnam Humanitarian Programs
The German Red Cross (GRC) will continue its assistance for Vietnam’s humanitarian activities in the years to come, affirmed Head of the GRC’s International Services and National Relief Division Richert Johannes. The statement was made at a signing ceremony of a bilateral cooperation program for the 2013-2015 period in Hanoi on May 22. The humanitarian programs for the 2013-2015 will focus on environmental protection, climate change response and enhancement of VRCS’s staff capacity. Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS)’s Central Committee Doan Van Thai highly valued the cooperation, particularly humanitarian activities conducted by the GRC, and hoped that the German side will continue supporting Vietnam on this front.
