Germany to Assist Vietnam Viglacera in Energy-saving Glass Development

Germany Innovent eV Technology Development Institute has agreed to assist Vietnam Glass and Ceramic Joint Stock Corp. (Viglacera) in developing energy-saving glass in the country, state media reported. A memorandum of understanding to this effect has been signed between the Research and Development Institute of Viglacera and the German partner, an official from the Vietnamese group said. Under the MoU, the German institute would transfer the secrets of making the glass to Viglacera, technology, copyright contracts, research contracts, and supporting techniques. The sides also agreed to make regular staff exchanges to share experience as well as discuss ways to make the glass popular in Vietnam. Established in 1974 as a state-owned multi-sector group, Viglacera is leading in the field of building material production in Vietnam and having bold step forward in the field of infrastructure development, industrial parks, residential and business properties.
