Fatherland Front in Danang City Collects for Charity
The Vietnamese Fatherland Front in the central city of Danang has received more than VND520 billion ($26.6 million) from organizations and individuals to help poor people in the past ten years. The fund has been used to build and repair nearly 10,000 houses, offer medical checkups to 18,000 locals and grant thousands of scholarships to poor students, according to a report released at a meeting to review the program "Day for the Poor".
