Ethnic Minority Athletes Compete in Dak Lak

The ninth Ethnic Minorities Sports Festival officially kicked off on April 13 in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak. The three-day event features competition between 650 athletes belonging to 14 ethnic minority groups in 15 Central Highland districts and towns. They will compete in seven sporting events, including football, volleyball, track-and-field, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, tug of war, and stilt walking. The festival aims to develop a sports and physical training movement to improve the health and spiritual lives of ethnic minorities, in addition to preserving their traditional cultures values and strengthen solidarity.
