Denmark Helps Boost Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam

More than 100 representatives from Vietnam-Denmark joint venture companies have gathered at a workshop to discuss ways to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) among Vietnamese enterprises. As part of the Vietnam Denmark Cooperation Program, the event is aimed to improve Vietnamese enterprises’ competitiveness through social responsibility performance, said Thomas Frisenberg, director of Vietnamese-Danish Joint Venture E-softflow Ltd., Co. Accordingly, it helps business implementing CSR create a comfortable working environment for their workers based on law and improve employees’ professional skills. At the seminar, Danish experts introduced practical tools for enterprises to assess their CRS performance. The move helps enhance sustainability in the global supply chain, local experts said, admitting that CRS receives little attachment among Vietnamese firms. (Tuoi Tre –Youth May 31)
