Dak Lak Presents Gifts to AO/Dioxin Victims
The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA)’s branch in Dak Lak has offered 100 gifts, each worth VND3 million to AO/dioxin victims. All gifts are sponsored by Thanh Nien (Youth) newspaper and RASS Group. The province currently has nearly 4,500 AO/dioxin victims. In response to commemorating the 50th anniversary of the day when Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin was first sprayed in Vietnam (August 10, 1961), the association has received assistance from 194 individuals and collectives who donated a total over VND1.6 billion. All money will be used to build houses, provide scholarships and present gifts to AO/dioxin victims and their families on the occasion of national and Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays.
