Dak Lak, Lao Cai Host Ethnic Minorities’ Sport Festivals

(VOV) - Around 380 ethnic athletes from 9 teams attended the 4th ethnic minorities’ sport festival, which started in the northern province of Dak Lak on April 22. They competed in 8 events such as volleyball, football, tug of war, crossbow shooting and marathon. The sport festival helps promote sports and physical training in the ethnic and mountainous areas and preserve ethnic peoples’ cultural identity. The same day, another sport festival for ethnic minorities was held in the central highland province of Dak Lak, attracting 600 athletes from 17 teams representing 45 ethnic minority groups in the province.
