Canadian Firm to Help Vietnam City Develop Subway System

Canada’s Greely Group, which specializes on construction and telecommunication, has its desire to help Vietnam’s southern city of Can Tho develop its underground infrastructure system. Greenly will support Can Tho in building management rules and master planning for its subway system, including power, water supply and drainage and telecommunication, the Phap luat TpHCM newspaper reported Dec 17. Underground infrastructure is very important for Can Tho in attracting investors in the future, Greenly Director in Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Long said, adding once operational, the system is expected to help Can Tho to boost socio-economic development. Currently, only two southern provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Duong have relatively modern underground infrastructure in Vietnam, the official noted. Greely Group currently has 10 companies in Canada and three one in Vietnam. (Phap luat TpHCM – HCM City Law Dec 17 p6, tainguyenmoitruong.com.vn Dec 16)
