Border Soldiers Care for Ethnic Minorities in Kon Tum Province

The Kon Tum Provincial Border Force Command in association with Kon Tum Newspaper and the insurance firm of Prudential on December 30th launched a free healthcare check-up program for people in So Loong Commune, Ngoc Hoi District, Kon Tum. So Loong Commune is mainly home to ethnic minorities. During the day, military medics provided free healthcare checkups and medicines for more than 300 locals. At the same time, the working team presented 80 gifts and more than 100 sets of costumes for local poor people. In 2011, Prudential has built 2 homes of compassion for local poor families and offered hundreds of gifts and scholarships to local poor people and students, according to Head of the Prudential branch in the Province.   Meanwhile, the Provincial Border Force Command often sent medical team to take care of local people and generously rendered material supports to local ethnic minority communities.
