Border Guards Present Gratitude Houses to The Needy
Quang Nam Provincial Headquarters of Border Guards handed over three houses of gratitude to poor households in two communes of Dai Hong and Dai Hung, Dai Loc district, on October 17th. The beneficiaries are Nguyen Van Tan in Ngoc Thach village, Ngo Thi Ha in Thanh Dai village and Nguyen Cu in Thai Son village, who had rendered good service to the cause of national liberation and defense. The construction of each house cost VND 45 million, donated by Liberated Saigon Newspaper and Vietcombank. The construction of these houses is part of the housing program, entitled “Truong Son gratitude”, in support of policy beneficiaries and needy families. Over the past years, the Provincial Border Guards have actively cooperated with relevant sectors to build 187 gratitude houses, 11 welfare structure works at border areas, seas and islands, contributing to poverty alleviation and hunger eradication, and to improving people’s spiritual and material life.
