Binh Thuan To Grow Rubber Trees In Mountainous Areas

Southern Binh Thuan province will grow rubber trees in the areas inhabited by ethnic groups, in a move to improve the living standards there. Accordingly, some 420 ha will be grown with rubber trees by 2013, expected to turn out a latex output of 630 tons per year and a total output of 12,600 tons per cycle. The cultivation will create jobs for 524 ethnic households in the districts of Tanh Linh, Duc Linh and Ham Thuan Bac. Total investment for the project from 2011 to 2019 will require nearly VND32.4 billion. (news.gov.vn Aug 22)
