Big Charity Show For Needy People On April 14

A charity music program will be held in Hanoi on April 14 to raise funds for needy Vietnamese people, including the disabled orphans.
“One Heart - One World”, the 9th of its kind, will be co-organized by the Association in Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO), the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and Vietnam Television Station (VTV), with the sponsorship of MobiFone, Thaco and Traphaco. The annual event aims to honor the handicapped and orphans who try their best to overcome difficulties and integrate into the community, and raise funds to help them improve their lives. Speaking at a press briefing in Hanoi on April 5, ASVHO Chairman Nguyen Dinh Lieu said that the program’s organizing board has so far mobilized VND12.9 billion from domestic and foreign individuals and organizations. Many famous artists have registered to take part in the program to support the disabled and orphans. MobiFone will auction off the desirable mobile phone number of 090.898.888 to raise funds for the ASVHO. Last year’s event mobilized more than VND10 billion to buy wheelchairs and bikes for the disabled, and support disadvantaged people and orphans in 38 communes. (vov.vn April 5)
