ADB to Lend $1.3B to Vietnam Next Years
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will arrange loans worth $1.3 billion for Vietnam in the coming years and speed up the public-private partnership (PPP) model, State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)’s governor, Nguyen Van Giau, said. Giau made the statement at the press conference of the 44th ADB annual meeting held in the capital city of Hanoi on late May 2.
Additionally, ADB will also help Vietnam in projects in different sectors, especially in financial and banking sectors. At the same time, ADB would make an important contribution to the policy scheme of Vietnamese government. Vietnam has had about 100 projects and programs using capital from ADB with a total capital of nearly $10 billion, of which, signed projects reached about $6 billion during 18 years.
