2012 Summer Volunteer Campaign To Help Poor Districts

Nhan Dan - The 2012 Summer Volunteer campaign, with the theme ‘Youth Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas’, will be launched in Ha Tinh province on May 27. The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union announced the campaign yesterday at a press conference in Hanoi. This year’s campaign will focus on developing remote areas with a number of activities such as building new rural areas, ensuring traffic safety, environmental protection, preventing natural disasters and epidemics and supporting communal health care and blood donation campaigns, in addition to other international volunteer activities. The campaign guidelines stipulate that when a young person does voluntary work, their grassroots Youth Union will implement a project in building new rural areas.
