105 Houses Handed Over to Needy Beneficiaries in Central Vietnam

The Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Vietinbank have handed over 105 houses of great unity, schools and a community house, to needy ethnic minority families in Pa Ay Village, Hong Thuy Commune, who were victims of storm “number 9” in 2009. These structures are valued at over VND 44 billion, including VND 5.4 billion which was sponsored by Vietinbank. Also at the ceremony, Vietinbank presented 105 gifts, worth VND 1.8 million each, including blankets, mosquito-nets, and daily utensils, to social beneficiaries. Besides, each household received 10 kilograms of rice, partly to help local people quickly stabilize their lives. Vietinbank also pledged to support the building of Pa Ay Primary School and a kitchen for a kindergarten. (Quan Doi Nhan Dan – People’s Army Sept 4)
