1,000 Poor Students Given A Ride Home for Tet
Hanoi City Students’ Association and the Support and Development Centre for Vietnamese Students have helped students from universities and colleges to return home for Tet holidays.Buses carried students to the central provinces of Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa, and northern mountainous provinces.This is the second time the Hanoi City Students’ Association has held this activity.Beneficiaries are 1,000 ethnic minority students, students from policy beneficiary families, and disadvantaged students who are active in studying and social works selected by the Youth Unions in the city for support to return home for Tet holidays. They were also presented gifts on this occasion.In 2013, the Support and Development Centre for Vietnamese Students has coordinated with students’ associations in the central cities of Da Nang and Hue, and the northern port city of Hai Phong to organize activities to allow nearly 3,000 students to travel home for Tet.
