Organisation: Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in Vietnam

The Woolcock Institute is leading international lung health research organisation, affiliated with the University of Sydney in Australia (https://sydney.edu.au/). The Woolcock Institute has operated in Vietnam since 2009, we undertake large and important operational and epidemiological and clinical research projects in 11 Provinces, including Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. The Woolcock also runs training in epidemiological and operational research methods for Vietnamese doctors and public health workers.

Overview: The Woolcock Institute will be reorganized the institute and expand the activity from the end of 2018. One of our activity would be the student education (students are mainly from universities in Australia), and we have a plan of conducting the study tour to Vietnam regularly, with the aim of understanding our researches and the culture exchange. The first study tour would be done in January 2019 for 2 weeks in Vietnam.

We are now seeking an individual Vietnamese language teacher or a Vietnamese language school that can provide the Vietnamese language lesson to expat students for very short term (e.g. one day, 6 hours per day) whenever we organize the study tour (e.g. two, three times per year)

Location: Hanoi

Duration: one or two days, periodically

Roles:

• To teach the basic Vietnamese language
• To include the Vietnamese culture aspect in the lesson

Required education, skills and qualities

Essential qualification:

• Experience teaching the Vietnamese language to English speaking foreigners
• Fluent in English

Desired qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in relevant language education field preferred.
