Technical Sales Associate and Translator

I. SUMMARY

Environmental Source Samplers (ESS) is a privately held American company specializing in Air-Quality Consulting and Testing.  ESS works world-wide, on many projects funded by the multilateral lending.  We are targeting a more strategic position in the Asia market. Currently, ESS in Vietnam is in need of recruiting the following position:

1.Position: Technical Sales Associate and Translator
  Work place: Hanoi (and up to 50% travel)

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Translate for American co-worker(s) during business development and technical meetings
- Develop technical leads
- Sales cold calls
- Develop and execute Marketing Strategy for ESS business activities

III. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

- Research current and proposed air quality rules and regulations
- Develop and maintaining network of political and business contacts
- Attend air-quality related conferences
- Take part in training courses, when required

IV. SKILLS NEEDED

- Proficient in written and spoken English and Vietnamese (Chinese would also be very helpful)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Technical knowledge of Air Quality rules and regulations – some educational background with this emphasis

EXPERTISE LEVEL

Graduate with bachelor degree in Environmental Science (or similar) and/or some previous employment or project history in an air-quality related field

Other requirements

- Skills of team work, negotiation and convincing
- Ability to work independently under little supervision
- Can absorb work pressure as required by demands
- Good communication skills
- Enthusiastic and active
