USAID Green Annamites

ECODIT is implementing the USAID-funded Green Annamites Project in Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces in Central Vietnam. The purpose of the Green Annamites Project is to assist Vietnam’s transition to climate-smart, low emission, and resilient development that protects people, landscapes, and biodiversity in Vietnam’s priority forested provinces.

Under the USAID Green Annamites Project, ECODIT is seeking to hire a Rice Branding Expert to develop and implement a branding plan for the traditional Rice namely Ra Du in Thua Thien Hue Province, with the following objectives:

1. To support local rice producers in A Luoi district on developing geographical indication and brand name for Ra Du rice, in collaboration with Thua Thien Hue Department of Science and Technology and the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam.
2. To improve livelihoods of farmers growing traditional Rice, Ra Du in Thua Thien Hue Province through traditional rice branding.
