BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Ensure residential security hardware, alarm systems, and other security equipment are properly installed and functioning.
• Repair, maintain, and the technical service of residential security hardware for U.S. government owned and leased residential properties at post.
• Oversee the issuance and control of physical hardware at the residences and be responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of all residential security hardware needed for residential security upgrades.
• Be responsible for installing residential security equipment, including but not limited to alarm systems, panic alarms, mylar, door locks, photocell-controlled perimeter security lights, periodic and emergency maintenance, and decommissioning of this equipment, maintain stock inventory, assist the RSC to conduct research and survey residential properties.
• Work closely with other section at the Embassy and local contractors during residence "make ready", repairs, and upgrades.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of high school (grade 12) in addition to two (2) years of apprenticeship or an advanced equivalent local level of occupational training as a residential or office security equipment technician, general technician, electrician, or mechanic is required.

Experience: At least three (3) years working experience in electronic alarm systems and residential or commercial office security systems and equipment.

Languages:    Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required (this will be tested).
                      Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
