PSI currently seeks a talented and motivated Quality Improvement (QI) Officer to work full-time OR part-time with our dynamic, results-oriented team:
Job Title: QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS (QI) OFFICER – working in the South, full-time or part-time
Report to: Health Services Officer
Job summary: The QI Officer works closely with the Health Services team and Country Director (CD) to support our projects including: Malaria, Hypertension,
Reproductive
Health (RH) and other Quality Improvements activities in the South and near-by rural region. This position will be a field-based with frequent travel to PSI’s project provinces
Major duties:
- Conducting QI/detailing assessment to trained private clinics to ensure their adherence to national guidelines for multiple disease areas including tuberculosis, hypertension and reproductive health
- Participating in screening events including RH, Hypertension and malaria projects
- Collecting monthly data from private providers/clinics
- Conducting training for pharmacies to refer customers to nearby clinics with trained providers offering quality assured malaria, hypertension, RH services
- Conducting onsite audits among trained clinic/pharmacy outlets to assess medicine quality/affordability as well as compliance with service delivery and reporting guidelines
- Participating and whereas appropriate - conducting RH trainings
- Collaborating with PSI’s research team to conduct studies to understand the needs and opportunities to increase private sector contributions to multiple health issues
Selection criteria:
- Doctor degree required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, results-focused and solution-oriented working style.
- Willing to learn new things, take on new challenges and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate in English - an advantage but not compulsory
