Introduction to Keep Vietnam Clean (KVC)
KVC is a legally registered Vietnamese social enterprise focused on improving environmental conditions in terms of land, air, and water quality in Vietnam. Main program areas include the following.

KVC is supported by thousands of volunteers and dozens of businesses and organizations. It is through these partnerships that KVC has a positive impact in the community.
The REFCAH project is focused on promoting regenerative agriculture in Vietnam through demonstrating clean chemical free agriculture techniques and training farmers in how to use them. These techniques also help fight climate change (by sequestering carbon), make farms resistant to drought, reduce farming input costs, and increase food nutrient density.
Position Overview
The Project Officer position for REFCAH is a role responsible for working with the project manager to ensure the project completes all of its objectives as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The Project Officer should have an understanding of environmental science, ideally sustainable agriculture, and also be comfortable working in a team environment with other experts, domestic and international.
Responsibilities
- Help manage the project schedule and critical tasks for completion of milestones
- Procuring equipment for setting up a soil and compost testing laboratory
- Procuring equipment for thermal compost processes
- Support the technical team in selecting demonstration sites, including helping to coordinate site visits
- Liaise with local farmers as partners
- Help plan, organize, and implement online and offline farmer trainings
- Manage training participant satisfaction surveys
- Conduct farming site visits for implementation and quality control with partners
- Learn and apply basic laboratory techniques for soil and compost testing
- Help maintain records of all project activities
- Support the marketing team with content for project communications
- Attend and participate in meetings with partners and stakeholders such as donors (embassies), partner non-profit organizations, research institutions, and farmer organizations.
- Provide basic translation support for the international technical team during meetings with local farmers.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study agricultural science, environmental science, microbiology, soil science, or similar
- Project management experience a plus
- Excellent English and Vietnamese language skills - written and verbal
- At least 2 years proven working experience in project management
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Resourceful, independent, and able to work in teams
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Job Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- This is a 5 month project with the possibility for extension through 2023 (pending funding)
- Flex-time, may include both weekdays and weekends depending on event activities
- Up to 50% travel in the province of Hanoi (for stakeholder meetings primarily)
- Office location: KHC Office, located at 587 Lac Long Quan, Hanoi, and volunteer project sites
Compensation
- Salary is negotiable but KVC is committed to paying a living wage
