Project Coordinator
Project Document for “Environmental Remediation of Dioxin Contaminated Hotspots in Viet Nam” was signed on 28 June 2010 by and between Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Global Environment Facilities (GEF) is funding agency of this project. The project will be implemented in 4 years, from 2010 to 2013.
The Objective of the project is “to minimise disruption of ecosystems and health risks for people from environmental releases of TCDD contaminated hotspots”. This will contribute to the broader Goal, which is “to overcome the consequences of toxic chemicals used in the war in Viet Nam”.
The project is designed to achieve 3 key outcomes: (i) Dioxin in core hotspot areas contained and remediated; (ii) Land use on and around hotspots eliminates risks and contributes to environmental recovery; (iii) Strengthen national regulations and institutional capacities.
The project is now seeking a qualified person to work full-time at PMU in the position of Project Coordinator. For more details please refer to the attached ToR.
