National Project Officer
The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the following position:
National Project Officer:
The position is located in the ILO Country Office, Hanoi. The incumbent will perform National Project Officer’s tasks and will work in close collaboration with other related programmes/projects of the Country Office as required. He/she will work under the general supervision of the Country Director and will receive technical guidance from the EIIP Technical Specialist in DWT/Bangkok and from Senior Specialists at EMP/INVEST of ILO HQ.
The assignment is 12 months and based in Hanoi with travel to provinces with a possibility of extension subject to fund availability
Minimum Requirements include:
- University degree in economics, rural development or other social sciences is required. An advanced degree would be an asset.
- Two years experience in policy research in areas such as employment policy, rural development and social protection. Experience in development and implementation of technical cooperation projects
- Excellent English and Vietnamese languages. Proven experience of drafting research reports and making presentations effectively in both languages
- Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures. Knowledge of the office’s financial rules and regulations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to clarify information. Good computer applications skills. Organizational skills. Ability to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team. Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy. Ability to supervise staff
