National Plastic Waste Consultant

WWF was one of the first International non-government organizations working in Vietnam. We are looking for a dynamic, result-driven team for the following position: NATIONAL PLASTIC WASTE CONSULTANT

Major functions:  the Consultant will be in charge of conducting a national study to get an overview picture of plastic waste in Vietnam, identify provinces/cities/areas in Vietnam that have the potential to become pioneering models for the Plastic Pollution Free Cities concept and get baseline data on plastic waste of the 4 targeted cities.

Key requirements for the role include:

• Team leader: Master degree or higher degree in fields related to Waste management or Waste treatment technology, Natural resources management,
• Environmental science
• In-depth knowledge and senior expertise in solid waste management. Added expertise on plastic waste/marine plastic litter is a plus;
• In-depth knowledge of waste situation in Vietnam;
• Proven experience in solid waste research, including survey methodologies, data analysis;
• Proven report writing skills;
• Proven experiences in the field.
