Project Objective
SI is implementing the USAID/Vietnam Learns Contract (USAID Learns). The scope of the five-year project is to support USAID/Vietnam staff and partners to implement more efficient, effective, and transparent programs by improving: (1) USAID and Implementing Partner (IP) capacity to achieve expected results; (2) USAID’s understanding and tracking of project performance; and (3) collaboration, learning, and adapting (CLA).
Position Description
USAID Learns seeks a short-term local consultant as a Media & Events Specialist to produce several media products that feature how participation barriers for persons with disability were removed, and support events for the Vietnam Day of Persons With Disabilities.

Level of effort (LOE): up to 10 days
Responsibilities
- Draft stories/ideas for three videos and work with USAID to finalize the stories and scripts
- Draft key messages and work with USAID to finalize the messages
- Participate in video making
- Draft scenarios/ideas for the sporting event
- Work with USAID to organize events
- Leverage personal social media following to share information
- Other preparatory work - e.g., coordination with sites to prepare for filming and events.
Qualifications
- Creativity: Ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for Disability Inclusion videos that resonate with target audiences
- Video Production Skills: Proficiency in ideating, directing, and reviewing videos using different tools
- Social Media Expertise: proved knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices for content creation and engagement
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with audiences effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive storytelling for people with disabilities
- Having significant social media followers is required
- Having experience working with USAID is a plus
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- The candidate must be fluent in Vietnamese and reside in Vietnam.
