RECRUITMENT FOR INCOME GENERATION OFFICERS
Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.
Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 6 CDPs and is managing about 10,000 sponsored children.
Job title: Income Generation Officers (2 positions)

Reports to: IGD Team Leader, IGD Junior Manager, General Manager.
Type of contract: Full-time
1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Country Director, Managing Director, General Manager, AD-FD Manager/Officers , PMs, Project Officers
External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental Officials, INGOs, Communities.
2. MAIN DUTIES
For 1st position:
- Evaluate demands of local communities in income generation sector; design programs to generate income for local people suited with local conditions and GNI
- policies;
- Research to develop programs, activities to support the establishment of consumption channels, develop value chains for products of interest groups, cooperatives supported by GNI;
- Support to maintain existing consumption channels, find and expand consumption market for the products of interest groups/cooperatives;
- Monitor and balance consumption quantity to support groups/cooperatives make suitable production plan;
- Coordinate with CDP to effectively support groups/cooperatives to process necessary legal procedures and certificates;
- Report to management members about the activities of marketing sector every day and when required. Be in charge of assigned tasks before management members;
- Perform other tasks required by line managers.
For 2nd position:
- Evaluate the demands of local communities in income generation sector;
- Design programs to generate income for local people suited with local conditions and GNI policies;
- Prepare proposal and implement special projects in IGD sector, and raise fund for these project;
- Provide technical support for project members and facilitate the effective implementation of IGD activities;
- Perform financial management for IGD and revolving fund projects;
- Collaborate with DME team to monitor and evaluate the project when requested;
- Develop and maintain relationship with experts from agencies and departments in IGD sector to facilitate project activities;
- Perform other tasks required by line managers.
3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education
- University degree in Economics, Agriculture, Agricultural Development, Commerce and other related fields.
Work experience
For 1st position:
- At least 02 years relevant working experience in agricultural products trading, super market or food safety chain.
For 2nd position:
- At least 01 year relevant working experience in agriculture.
- NGO working experience is preferable
Skills
