Finance Manager
The Asia Foundation is recruiting a short-term Finance Manager based in Hanoi for a period of 6 months.
The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in providing support for financial and controlling accounting of The Asia Foundation in Vietnam. The position requires:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive financial experience, with a significant portion of time working for INGOs.
- University degree in relevant field. MBA is preferred.
- Experience in using accounting software (Quickbooks, Quicken, Peachtree, etc.) and NGO training experience desired.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively work with non-finance colleagues across the organization.
- Must have ability to address ambiguity, flexibility to address ad hoc needs as they arise, passion for simplification and drive continuous improvement.
- Openness to challenges in our dynamic environment; you are a team player that has the ability to work under pressure and apply independently time management and prioritization of task.
Specifically, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Manage the accounting operations including accounts payable and internal receivables, general ledger accounting, cash management, and cost accounting.
- Ensure compliance of financial records and internal controls with the Foundation requirements and local statutory requirements.
- Working with program officers on managing budget issues for project proposals and implementation.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and requests originating from the head office and donors.
