ESL Teachers (2 positions)

Two (2) ESL Teachers required to teach English in Nha Trang
Under the Australian Defence Force English Language Project

30-40 hours/week
Start: 26 February 2018

DUTIES STATEMENT:

Duties will include:

• instruction on English Language courses at the Naval Academy and the Airforce Officer Institute in Nha Trang;
• participation in the conduct and administration of courses and workshops;
• working as a member in a team;
• providing input into the design and development of curricula;
• teaching of English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) course materials and on-line learning materials; and
• undertake other associated duties as directed by the Defence Cooperation Education Officer (DCEO).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree
• TESOL/CELTA qualification or equivalent teaching qualification
• At least two years of ESL teaching is preferred and beginner teachers need not apply
• Native English speaker or IELTS Band 7 for non-native speaking teachers
• Be able to meet Vietnamese regulations to obtain a work permit – you must bring your original degree, teaching certificates and police clearance certificate with you

PREFERENCES:

• Experience in teaching English with reputable organisations
• Experience in teaching IELTS (Academic) preparation courses

WAGE AND BENEFITS:

• USD 34 an hour, 30 to 40 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
• Teaching adults only
• Local costs paid for work permit/visa
