SNV - Netherlands Development Organization  is recruiting an International consultant doing research for “Consulting services for capacity building in Mangrove forest carbon stock enhancement and development of technical guidelines for mangrove rehabilitation for protection mangrove forest and production mangrove forest in Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau province”

Project:            Advancing Understanding of Forest Carbon Stock Enhancement as part of REDD+- ENRICH

Duration:           Indicative 107 Person-days, start on March 15th end on May 15th, 2014.

The successful consultant should have:

• Adequate capacity and understanding of features of mangrove forest, wetlands forest;
• Experience relating to forest biomass and carbon stock of mangrove forest
• 7 years professional experience in forest restoration and rehabilitation, including silvicultural models and their cost effectiveness for mangrove forests.
• Demonstrate ability to deliver training sessions and interact with local authorities/local technician.
• Experience in technical guidelines elaboration
• Good understanding of natural  forest conditions of Ngoc Hien
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (speaking + writing);
• Consultant chosen must commit to the timeline given;
