Consultant for Training Services
World Vision International Vietnam (WVV) is looking for a Consultant to provide training services on “Teaching Vietnamese as a second language for children aged 5 – 8” for a group of WVV staff.
The training will be focus on:
- The concept of a first language (L1) and a second language (L2), meaning and accuracy, how a person learn L1 and L2, principles of learning a second language and the factors affecting the learning of a second language.
- The techniques that a teacher should use to teach a second language for the children aged 5-8, especially the “Total Physical Response”.
- How to teach “Reading subject” for children who learn the subject as a second language.
- How to teach “Story telling subject” for children as their second language.
- Teaching and developing “Vocabulary” for children as their second language.
- Understanding about a good language learning environment.
Training time: November 24 - 27, 2015
Time frame for consultant:
- Training Agenda and Preparation: 0.5 day
- Training: 4 days
- Training report: 0.5 day
Total: 5 days
Experiences and skills required for consultants:
- Have knowledge and skills on teaching Vietnamese as a second language for children aged 5 – 8.
- Good at active learning method and adult learning method.
- More than 5 years experience in training courses with the topic.
